With a total population of 300,000 people living in its urban areas, Malmo is the third largest city in Sweden. It lies to the far south of the country, and is part of the Oresund Region, which is well-linked with Copenhagen in Denmark. It's known as a port city, and one of the earliest cities in Scandinavia. Visitor's can't miss the Turning Torso, Scandinavia's tallest building, and the bustling cultural festival of Malmofestivalen, which takes place in the city every August.
