Guide to Fort William

map
One of the largest towns in the Highlands of Scotland, Fort William lies to the southwest of the country, on the banks of the rivers Nevis and Lochy. It's also on the shores of two lochs, Loch Linnhe and Loch Eli. Famous for its incredible scenery, and its fantastic location for travel to Glen Coe, the West Highland Way and Inverness, Fort William has a total population of 9,900 people. Those who love climbing can't pass up the chance to head up Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in Britain!
