Guide to Glasgow

map
Glasgow is Scotland's largest city, with a population of 600,000 people living in its urban areas. It is located on the banks of the River Clyde, towards the western coast of Scotland. Once known predominantly as an industrial city, it now wins accolades as a city of culture, and is a member of the UNESCO Creative Cities Initiative. Glasgow is well known for its friendliness, and is also a place of beautiful stone architecture. Visit the West End for more of a relaxed, cafe culture vibe, check out the fantastic shopping on Sauchiehall Street and don't miss the diverse music to be discovered on its streets, from bands in King Tut's to the incredible DJs who play The Arches.
