Guide to Kingston Upon Thames

map
A former market town, Kingston upon Thames is a principal suburb to the southwest of London. With a rich history of Saxon kings being crowned in the area, its main bridge over the Thames dates back to 1293. Catch a production in the recently built Rose Theatre, and the bizarre sculpture, "Out of Order", a row of toppled red telephone boxes made in 1988.
