Guide to Pitlochry

map
A small Victorian town in Perth and Kinross, Central Scotland, Pitlochry lies on the River Tummel, and is close to such mountains as Schiehallion and Ben Vrackie. It has a tiny population of 2,600 people, and is a popular centre for hillwalking, and for its whisky distilleries of Edradour and Blair Athol. Don't miss the House of Bruar for some high-end shopping, and the nearby waterfalls which slice through a rocky gorge to tumble down into the river below. Breath-taking.
