On the westernmost tip of Cornwall in England lies the small seaside town of St Ives. With a population of just 11,000 people, the town was formerly a quaint village which grew from the influx of tourists. As well as having a pretty harbour and mild climate, its beaches have earned it acclaim as one of the best seaside towns in Britain. Well known for its crafts, in particular pottery, St Ives is also host to an array of traditional festivals, including the fantastic September festival, which holds everything from musical concerts to poetry and film talks.
