Train from Grampians to Melbourne

There are no direct services from Halls Gap to Melbourne. Take a bus from Halls Gap to Stawell station where you change for a connecting bus to Ararat or Ballarat station (depending on day of travel). From Ararat or Ballarat you then take a connecting bus or train  to Melbourne Southern Cross station. Monday – Friday services run via Ballarat depart Halls Gap at 1420 arriving in Melbourne at 1910 and are bus only. Weekend services change at Ararat station where a direct train runs to Melbourne Southern Cross. Weekend services depart at 1430 and arrive at Melbourne at 1826.
