Train from Krabi to Bangkok

Buses from Krabi to Surat Thani run every 45 minutes from 0430 to 1600, journey time is 3 hours and tickets cost around 140 baht. From Surat Thani there is a day train departing at 1040 (arrives Bangkok 1945). From 1646 onwards there are then regular trains travelling through the night to Bangkok, try and take later ones to avoid getting into Bangkok in the very early hours of the morning.
