Buses run from Phuket Bus Terminal to Southern Bus Terminal (Thonburi). Numerous operators and departures. The journey takes approx 14 hours and prices are around 1000 baht. For a potentially more pleasant journey take a bus to Surat Thani (approx 4 hours, 280 baht) and an overnight train to Bangkok.
