Bus from Bangkok to Phuket

Buses run from the Southern Bus Terminal (Thonburi) to Phuket Bus Terminal. Numerous operators and departures. The journey takes approx 14 hours and prices are around 1000 baht. For a potentially more pleasant journey take an overnight train to Surat Thani and take a connecting bus to Phuket (approx 4 hours, 280 baht).
