To the far south of Jordan is the country's only seaport, the coastal city of Aqaba, with a population of 103,000 residents. It's mainly known as a tourist destination, and is an area dappled with luxurious resorts. A well as its beaches and sparkling waters popular attractions include coffee shops and Turkish baths. There are also boat trips, scuba diving adventures and the Royal Aero Sports Club, an organisation which arranges balloon rides and plane trips over the sites of Jordan, including Wadi Rum.
