Guide to Niagara Falls

map
Plummeting down from Lake Erie into Lake Ontario in a horseshoe curve are the majestic Niagara Falls, marking the border between the US and Canada. The sister cities of the same name in Ontario and New York are a popular honeymoon destination, and lie around 121 kilometres from Toronto. The falls drop around 53 metres, and are comprised of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls and the American Falls. Visit at evening for an illuminated view of this spectacular landmark, and visit on a summer weekend for the romantic fireworks which crackle across the sky above the roaring torrents.
