Guide to Toronto

map
The capital of Ontario, and one of the most populous cities in Canada, Toronto has a population of 2.6 million people. It's located on the shores of Lake Ontario, so has a 46 kilometre long waterfront, as well as its own harbour, and several other lakes and rivers in its vicinity. It's well known for being highly diverse, partly due to the amalgamation of six smaller cities in 1998. Its excellent Art Gallery is home to some of the world's most exciting artwork, or head to the CN Tower, North America's tallest structure. In summer, be sure to take a stroll along one of its many beaches, or take a day trip to the Toronto Islands
