Guide to Albuquerque

map
In the centre of the state of New Mexico, and its capital, Albquerque is a full 4,900 feet above sea level at its lowest point. It has a population of some 545000. It's known for its recent and rapid urban growth, proximity to the Rio Grande and bright neon cityscape. Take the Sandia Peak Tramway, the longest tramway ride in the world for an unbeatable view of the rocky desert landscape, and don't miss the International Balloon Fiesta, when, every October a rainbow patchwork of hot air balloons take to the skies above the city.
