The world's largest canyon and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, the Grand Canyon is 446 kilometres long, and in places 29 kilometres wide. At its base lies the Colorado River, and it forms a huge rift in the Colorado Plateau. It's a World Heritage Site, and lies to the north of Arizona. Adventurers will love the hiking, white water rafting and sightseeing opportunities. Don't miss the quirky star party, held every June at Yavapai Point.
