Guide to Memphis

map
With a population of 662,000 inhabitants, Memphis is the largest city in Tennessee, and stretches across the Mississippi River. Most famously home to Graceland, Elvis's former home, and the home of the blues, the city is in a state of flux and rejuvenation. Don't miss the many blues bars and clubs, for the real texture of this city, and head to the Memphis Rock n Soul Museum to get further into its groove. Memphis in May International Festival is one of the most incredible events on this city's calendar, with live music, prizes and mouth-watering food.
