Guide to Phoenix

map
The largest city in Arizona, and its capital, Phoenix is in the Salt River Valley, encircled by mountains but built on a flat plateau, with the Salt River running to its west. It has a population of around 1.5 million people. Well known for its year-round sunshine and warmth, as home to many influential politicians and its cultural wealth, including everything from an abundance of authentic Mexican food to the Ro Ho En Japanese Friendship Garden. Don't miss the Heard Museum, a celebration of Native American Culture.
