Guide to San Diego

map
The second largest city in California, San Diego has a total population of 373,000 people living in its city area, and is built on deep canyons and hillsides. It's split from east to west by the San Diego river, and rises to 1,593 feet at Cowles Mountain, its highest point. San Diego is known for its proximity to Mexico, its beautiful beaches and its heritage as a sailing point. Don't miss its zoo, one of the best of its kind in North America.
