Guide to Sihanoukville

map
In the south of Cambodia, on the Gulf of Thailand lies Sihanoukville, a port city with a growing population of almost 200,000 residents. It's known for its magnificent beaches, as well as being the site of the last battle during the Vietnam War. Visit the old fishing port, head offshore for a spot of scuba diving and do something decent by volunteering the commendable Cambodian Children's Painting Project, which helps poor children sell their art to buy food and provisions for their families.
