A town in the centre of Laos, surrounded by a limestone Karst hill landscape, the once quiet stopoff en route to other destinations , Vang Vieng , has now become a place to visit. Known as a backpacker's haven, Vang Vieng has a population of around 25,000 people, and it has become notorious for activities such as inner tubing on the Nam Song River, and for its lively nightlife compared to the rest of Laos. Don't miss the caves, the blue lagoon and the walking opportunities nearby.
