The capital of Malaysia and its second oldest city, Kuala Lumpur even in name conjures the green, dense heat of the jungle it was carved out of. But it is also one of Malaysia’s most modern cities, a cosmopolitan mish-mash of cultures – from Chinese to Indian to British – a skyline dominated by glittering skyscrapers and some of the tallest and most innovative buildings and structures in the world, and dusty streets lined with stalls selling Malay delicacies such as Malaysian dried beef, deep fried sweet potato and fresh exotic fruit. This is a city of colours and flavours, and in every aspect, it delivers.
