Guide to Langkawi

map
Around 30 kilometres from the western coastline of Malaysia lies the archipelago of Langkawi, comprising 104 islands in total and ensphered by the Andaman Sea. Its two largest islands are Pulau Langkawi with a population of 64,000 people and Pulau Tube. Langkawi is famous for being a duty free island, and for the islands of Gunung Macinchang and Gunung Raya, which were named after a local legend. Don't miss the astounding Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls which are located along a steep hiking trail
