The most recent news today (9th of April 2010) on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office website is that there have been clashes between security forces and red shirted protesters in Bangkok.
As ever with a case of civil unrest you should always follow the standard advice to stay well away from large gatherings as they can turn violent.
My best advice would be to keep checking the advice at http://www.fco.gov.uk as this will be constantly updated.
