Between the island of Phuket and the mainland coast of Thailand are the six islands of Ko Phi Phi. They are part of Hadnopparattara-Koh Phi National Park, and offer a landscape of cliffs, caves, mountains and beautiful beaches. The biggest islands are Phi Don and Phi Phi Le. Their inclusion in the film The Beach has boosted their international recognition as a remote idyll, and generally they attract tourists with their astounding scenery. Most people get there by boat, and diving is the must-do activity - the area boasts colourful corals, underwater cave systems and anemone reefs.
