I made a mistake when creating my listing, how do I change it?
Editing a listing that you created is easy. You already have full control of the listing because you created it yourself. There are two places where you can make changes.
When on the destination guide page, click on your listing to go to the full details section. You will see an option at the bottom of the page to “Edit”
Alternatively, you can get to the same form from the “My Account” section of the website. “My Account” will appear in the top menu as long as you are logged in. If you aren’t logged in you will see “Sign In” instead. When you sign in this will automatically take you to the “My Account” section of the website. In the “My Account” section you will see your business listing, along with the option to edit it:
Editing your listing is a simple and easy process but because you didn’t create the listing at the moment we don’t know it belongs to you. To take control of the listing just email us at this email address:

Registering is easy, fast and completely free. Please try and email us from the same address that you used to register for the site.
What section of the guide should I list my business under?
There are 5 main sections of the guide that you can list your business in. Most are self explanatory:
Accommodation: You should list hotels, hostels, campsites and anywhere you can stay in this section.
What to do: This section is where any activities should be listed. This could mean anything from a local tour to a windsurfing lesson.
Attractions We would describe things that you go to see as attractions rather than activities. If you run anything from a museum, to a castle or a zoo it belongs in this section.
Restaurants This section is obviously the place for restaurants, but really you can any place that people can eat out to this area. This means not only restaurants, but cafes, food courts and even areas with good street food.
Nightlife This section is for bars, pubs and clubs. Anywhere were people go to drink (or for entertainment)
If you still aren’t sure we will be happy to give you some advice if you email suppliers@headingthere.co.uk
If you don’t know how to add your business to the right section there is more information here: How can I add my business to your site?
You can add as many properties or businesses as you want to HeadingThere. In fact we find often people who run tourism businesses have more than one concern that will be of interest to our users.
If you don’t already know how to add more businesses to HeadingThere follow this advice:
How can I add my business to your site?
If you want to manage all of your businesses from the same account, when you create them ensure you give them all the same email address that you registered to the site with. This will allow you to control them from the same account. If you want each business to have their own account that is fine too.
The map location for my property is wrong how do I change it?
As long as you already have control of your listing this is an easy job. It is also a really important one as this is how your customers will find you! If you haven’t already taken control of the listing then follow this advice:
Ok, so you do have control of the listing. Go to edit the listing in the normal way. If you don’t already know how to do that follow this advice:
I made a mistake when creating my listing, how do I change it?
In the ‘Edit’ section you will see that the map of your property is on the right hand side. Underneath the map is an option to “click here to change map position” You will see a warning message when you click the link telling you that any work you have done up until this point will be lost if you continue. If you have made any other changes to the listing please save them before continuing. As long as you have saved your changes you can ignore this message. When you follow the link you will see the pin in the map showing your location. You can drag and drop this pin to the correct location and then save changes.
The Google map is not working on my listing
The first stage thing you should do is to check your listing. Have we got all of your address information? The more information there is the more likely Google maps are to display your location.
If you want to edit the address information on your listing and you don’t know how to follow this advice:
How do I edit the information in my listing?
If you feel the address information is correct and the map is still not working please email us at suppliers@headingthere.co.uk with as much information as you can give us about your location. We will attempt to fix it for you manually.
